The reporter learned from the Ministry of natural resources that since the issuance of the State Council's notice on strengthening coastal wetland protection and strict control of reclamation, natural resource authorities at all levels have continued to deter illegal reclamation with high pressure, and resolutely implemented a series of decisions and arrangements made by the Party Central Committee and the state Council on strict control of reclamation.

It is understood that there was no large-scale illegal sea reclamation nationwide in the first quarter, and two suspected illegal sea reclamation activities were found and stopped, covering an area of about 0.29 hectares, which have been transferred to the relevant law enforcement agencies for investigation and punishment according to law. Among them, one is located in Fuqing City, Fujian Province, covering an area of about 0.01 hectares, and Fujian xintianli Co., Ltd. is the main body suspected of illegal reclamation; one is located in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, covering an area of about 0.28 hectares, and Guandu real estate development company in Potou district is the main body suspected of illegal reclamation.

On the basis of effective containment of illegal sea reclamation, the Ministry of natural resources continued to strengthen the control of other forms of illegal sea use. In the first quarter, 20 suspected illegal structures such as bridges, access roads and dikes were found and stopped nationwide, covering an area of about 8.50 hectares, which have been handed over to the relevant law enforcement agencies for investigation and punishment according to law.
